SimcoeTalk-BlogPix 018

On October 17, 2014 GamingEdu member Diana spoke at the Simcoe County District School Board on “Using Minecraft for Reading Engagement”. The essential understanding explored by this teacher-librarian conference was:

IF teacher-librarians provide our school community with an inquiry based learning environment

THEN we foster the potential to increase intellectual engagement and a deeper understanding.

Minecraft fit well with the conference theme and the opening keynote. Check the Twitter hashtag #sctl14 for an online summary of all the workshops. Thanks to Melissa Jensen and the conference organization committee for inviting us.
